Engagement Boosts Productivity – The University of Warwick proved that “human happiness has large and positive causal effects on productivity.” Economists at the university carried out a number of scientific experiments to test the idea that happy employees work harder. Through a series of 4 different tests, they were able to show a double-digit increase in productivity which they explained as, “The driving force seems to be that happier workers use the time they have more effectively, increasing the pace at which they can work without sacrificing quality. ”That’s huge because it means that smart companies which invest more in engaging training and employee interactions can ultimately save on the costs associated with increased salaries.
