Microsoft Word is a word processor developed by Microsoft. It was first released on October 25, 1983 under the name Multi-Tool Word for Xenix systems. Subsequent versions were later written for several other platforms including IBM PCs running DOS (1983), Apple Macintosh running Classic Mac OS (1985), AT&T Unix PC (1985), Atari ST (1988), OS/2 (1989), Microsoft Windows (1989), SCO Unix (1994), and macOS (2001). Fetch the Share link
Open the Microsoft Word document on Office 365 online
Click Share
Click Get a link
Choose View only, then click ‘Create link’ followed by CTRL-C/CMD-C to copy it the clipboard
Once inside your LearnBrite Scenario, Enter ‘Edit’ mode
Click Add MediaBoard toolbar button.
Choose Office icon and paste the Share link you copied from Word & click the ‘Embed’ button
Click Stop editing
Now you can click on the document in the scene to launch the Word document.
Alternative (Quick add in Multiuser)
Paste the URL of the document in chat and click enter. As an owner or editor of a multiuser space you will see the URL in the chat panel followed by a red pin icon. Click the red pin icon to add a media board will be added to the scene.
Clicking on the media board operates differently here, a popup will appear when clicked.
The document can then be displayed in a new browser tab by clicking the link “Read this on onedrive.live.com”. In some cases this may be preferable to maximize reading size of the document.
